This week ScriptTank will be hearing Single Lens Reflex – a thriller from Stephen Fingleton.

Stephen has most recently seen success on the festival circuit with his feature film The Survivalist, most recently a screening at the BFI London Film Festival, which had drafts read at ScriptTank.

Stephen Fingleton’s ‘The Survivalist’ at the BFI London Film Festival

The Survivalist by ScriptTank member Stephen Fingleton will be screened at the BFI London Film Festival.
This post-apocalyptic psychological thriller feature film, which Stephen wrote and directed, is touring film festivals around the world.

ScriptTank was lucky to hear two drafts of The Survivalist while Stephen was developing it.

The Survivalist will be screened on 12 October and 15 October during the London Film Festival. Tickets will be available to the public from the 17 September.

Last year, Stephen was deserving long-listed for an Academy Award – an Oscar – for his short film SLR – another psychological thriller, starring Game of Thrones’ Liam Cunningham and Richard Dormer.

Stephen Fingleton – one of ScriptTank’s long-time members – has begun shooting his latest feature: The Survivalist.

The Survivalist’s was developed with the help of readings at ScriptTank.

Stephen’s feature is being supported by the BFI and Northern Ireland Screen. And it topped the ‘Black List‘: the list of the most-desired scripts, as voted by development executives in Hollywood.

Stephen has also put Magpie – a prequel to The Survivalist online. For a taste of what’ll be an excellent thriller, take a look.

This has been a great year for Stephen: his short SLR – which starred Game of Thrones’ actor Liam Cunningham, hit to the short film circuit to wide critical acclaim.
