On 22 January, we will be holding a Shorts Night to open our 2019 readings.
During a Shorts Night, we will be hearing a selection of works that are 10 minutes or less. It is an opportunity to get feedback on short scripts, treatments, outlines and extracts of new pieces.
After the Shorts Night, we will be holding readings on the following dates: 5 February, 19 February, 5 March, 19 March, 2 April and 16 April. During these readings we will hear full-length scripts of theatrical and radio plays and screenplays.
If you are a ScriptTank member, please come along. If you would like to join, please get in touch using the contact form.
On 2 October, we will be holding our now-traditional Shorts Night to start our Autumn-Winter term.
There is still some room available for short pieces to be read on the night.
If you are a member of ScriptTank and have a script (full or an extract), treatment or outline, that’ll take less than 10 minutes to read, please let Katharine Way know.
You can also bring a piece along on the night. We will do our best to have it read, but can’t guarantee it will be read.
If you are interested in coming along to the Shorts Night to find out what ScriptTank is about, please contact us. We are especially interested in hearing from BAME and younger writers, and those who are early in their careers.
If you’d like to know more about ScriptTank, please send us your question.
If you are a professional playwright or screenwriter, or a strong desire to become a professional, we’ll be a good fit. But coming to a Shorts Nights is a great way to see if ScriptTank will be a good fit for you.
And if you’re a member and know a writer (or two) who’ll be a good fit for ScriptTank, please bring them along on 2 October.
See you next week.
ScriptTank is now on its summer break.
Our first meeting after our summer break will be 2 October.
We will then meet on 16th and 30th October, 13th and 27th November and 4th December.
We hope you will be able to join us again for our 2018-2019 year.
Until then, we hope you can make the most of this hottest of summers.
