2 March – Sunrise by Richard Cosgrove

Sunrise by Richard Cosgrove

This week’s ScriptTank is Sunrise – a disturbing, low-budget horror feature film – by Richard Cosgrove.

A young woman tries to rescue a young boy from a pack of vampires who enslaved her as a child, only to discover her attempt to save the child was certain to fail.

Maggie learns that the pack of vampires who have enslaved her as a child plan to kill her and make 11-year-old Chris their servant. To try and save herself, Maggie escapes the vampire’s home, taking Chris along as a bargaining tool. As she drags Chris across the UK to escape to Europe, hunted every step by Maggie’s masters, she grows to care for the boy – not realising his fate, and her own, are already sealed.

The evening starts at 6:45 for a 7pm start at the Blue Posts pub, Rupert Street. The nearest tubes are Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.

If you are interested in joining ScriptTank, please contact us. If you are a current member, please remember you will need to attend at least two readings during this winter-spring season to have their script read in our autumn/winter 2016 season.

The next ScriptTank meeting will be one of our occasional Shorts Nights, featuring a selection of works that are a maximum of 10 minutes long. Please watch the blog for further details.

We’re looking forward to seeing friends old and new next week.
