After our very popular, and packed, shorts evening, on the 22 October, we will be holding our first full reading of our 2014/2015 season: Stephen Fingleton’s new thriller Single Lens Reflex.
London, 2004. A crime scene photographer moonlights for a Sunday tabloid as an investigator, and acts as a bag man and intermediary for dirty cops and hacks. When the paper hires him to follow a young solicitor, he is drawn into a conspiracy that goes to the heart of the British establishment.
Stephen’s script for his first feature film The Survivalist was originally read at ScriptTank. The script subsequently appeared on the Black List – the hottest unproduced screenplays circulating in Hollywood – and received BFI funding, allowing Stephen to shoot it. The Survivalist is currently in post-production, after filming wrapped earlier this month.
Stephen also recently saw success with his award-winning short SLR – a disturbing and taut thriller, starred Game of Thrones‘ Liam Cunningham.
Attending the reading
The evening starts at 6:45 for 7:00 at the Blue Posts pub, Rupert Street, for this reading. The nearest tubes are Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus.
