Flowers of the Field, a stage play written by long-term ScriptTank member Kevin Mandry is finally reaching the stage, after a couple of highly successful readings at ScriptTank. It’s being directed by another ScriptTank veteran: David Cottis.
Autumn, 1916. A young man arrives at a remote Sussex farm seeking a secret – the forgotten folk music of rural England, and a glimpse of a lost Arcadia. He finds instead a quiet struggle that echoes the timeless stories of the very songs he is seeking.
Flowers of the Field is a dark romance, on at the White Bear Theatre, Kennington between 24 June to 13 July.
